U8 Coach

Lisa Douglas

Lisa is very excited to be a part of PT Girls Lacrosse! She started her lacrosse career her freshman year at PTHS. She went on to play at Ohio University during her freshman year. Then she co-founded the Ohio University Women’s Club Lacrosse team and played for two years. She has a Silver Level Coaching Education Certification through USA Lacrosse. She is happy to return to Peters Township lacrosse in a coaching role to help support an amazing youth program.

Doug Lash

Doug's lacrosse experience began when he was in high school. He grew up in West Mifflin and played lacrosse at Central Catholic High School. Doug continued to play men's lacrosse at Washington & Jefferson College. This is Doug's second year as a PT Girls Lacrosse coach and his daughter's second year playing on the U8 team. He has a Bronze Level Coaching Education Certification through USA Lacrosse. Outside of lacrosse, Doug has enjoyed coaching his older daughter in softball and rec and travel basketball. Doug looks forward to this season with the U8 team!

Craig McCluskey

Craig is happy to help with PT Girls Lacrosse. He has always been a sports enthusiast. He grew up playing lacrosse and baseball. He has been the head coach of his daughters’ soccer teams for the last six years. Craig has a Silver Level Coaching Education Certification through USA Lacrosse. This is Craig’s 4th year coaching lacrosse. He is excited for the opportunity to be involved with lacrosse again and share his love of the game.

Lauren O’Brian

Lauren has a long history with lacrosse. She started playing lacrosse on the BP high school team in 8th grade and played in multiple All-Star games. She has coached all levels of lacrosse for the past 14 years, helped to start the youth program for BP before moving to PT, and has served numerous positions on two lacrosse boards including serving as PT Girls Lax President for over six years. Both of her daughters have also played lacrosse! She has a Gold Level Coaching Education Certification through USA Lacrosse. Lauren is very excited for this season and is passionate about teaching fundamental lacrosse skills and sharing her knowledge of the game.

U8 Coach

Layney O’Brian

Layney is a freshman and plays both lacrosse and field hockey. She started lacrosse the very first year that 1st graders were allowed to play in PT and started club lacrosse in 3rd grade. She currently plays for Steel City Lacrosse. She was nominated for the regional 8th Grade All-Star game was named MVP of the championship winning team. Layney was selected to play for Team Ohio in 2025 for the American Select tournament. She was a varsity starter on the HS field hockey team this fall and named a WPIAL First Team All-Star player. She currently plays for Venom Field Hockey Club and won a National Indoor title in 2023, along with other tournament first place wins. She is in the Interact Club and German Club and is on the honor roll. She coached U8 field hockey for PT in the fall and is very excited to coach lax this season.

Avery Weisser

Avery is a freshman and plays HS lacrosse. She started playing lacrosse in 6th grade. In school, she participates in Interact Club and is on the honor roll. Avery is excited to share her love of lacrosse and is looking forward to a wonderful time coaching U8 lax this year!

Lauren Manion

Lauren played lacrosse in middle school through college, from Mt. Lebanon to Franklin and Marshall College. Since her return to Pittsburgh, she was the assistant coach with the Upper St. Clair High School Girls Program and the head coach with the Mt. Lebanon High School Girls Program. She has a Bronze Level Coaching Education Certification through USA Lacrosse. This is Lauren’s third year coaching for PT and she’s excited to be back on the field and the Peters Girls Youth Program.

Delaney McVicker

Delaney started playing lacrosse at the age of 9. When she’s not on the lacrosse field, you can find her playing field hockey or singing as a member of the high school chamber singers. This is her third year coaching lacrosse and she’s loving it!

Andy grew up in Bethel Park and was a four year letterman on the high school lacrosse team. He briefly held the freshman record for single season points and was a captain both Junior and Senior years. He previously coached for three seasons in the girls youth soccer program. He is looking forward to his second season coaching lacrosse!

Jenna Simmons

Jenna went to PTHS and graduated in 2009. She started playing lacrosse in 6th grade and was part of the first 6th grade team at Peters. Jenna played through college at Shippensburg University.  She coached lacrosse for Peters 2014-2016 and just recently coached at South Fayette 2024-2025. She loves the game of lacrosse and is happy to watch the younger generation of players grow to love the game as well.

Ryan grew up playing football and lacrosse for Peters Township. He was captain of the lacrosse team his senior year. He previously coached for a number of seasons in the boys youth program from U10 to U15 levels. Ryan is excited to return to coaching and to have a great season.

Dana Anderson

Dana is a senior at PTHS and currently plays lacrosse on the varsity team in the positions of attack or midfield. She started playing in 5th grade and continued until 8th grade in the PT rec league and also played on teams during the offseason with the Winner's Edge program. Dana also plays field hockey and is a starter on the varsity team. This is her fourth year coaching lacrosse, and she is excited to be a part of the team. She hopes that our team has fun and learns to love lacrosse as much as she does!

Lexi Filoon

Lexi started playing for Peters Youth Lacrosse in 2017. She played throughout high school and was a two-year varsity player. During her career, she played for Intrepid where she was given a leadership role. She also coaches the Intrepid middle school team over the summer! She currently attends Duquesne University as a Secondary Education major, and plays on the club lacrosse team. Lexi has a Silver Level Coaching Education Certification through USA Lacrosse. Her favorite college team is Syracuse, and she loves lacrosse because of the quick pace of play. Her coaching philosophy is to always give 110% and to make use of free time to sharpen your skills.

Cole has always been highly involved with sports and recreation. Growing up in Mt. Lebanon, PA he played football, hockey, and lacrosse. Cole has a Bronze Level Coaching Education Certification for both girls and boys lacrosse through USA Lacrosse.  In addition to coaching with the U10 girls program, he also coaches with the Peters Township boys lacrosse program. He is currently entering his 8th year as a lacrosse coach.

Katie Novelli

Katie is an elementary art teacher.  In high school, she played for the first Peters Township Girls Lacrosse Club starting in 1992. In 1995, the lacrosse club became a varsity sport. It was something that they were very proud to have achieved. Katie has a Silver Level Coaching Education Certification through USA Lacrosse. She is so happy to see how Peters Township girls lacrosse has grown and is so excited to get to be a part of it again! She is looking forward to a fun season!

Lydia Nolin

Lydia started playing lacrosse in first grade in her hometown of Horsham, PA (outside of Philly). She played club lacrosse for five years for Ultimate Lacrosse Club and she played all four years for her high school where she served as a Captain her junior and senior year. Lydia is now a Junior at the University of Pittsburgh studying Microbiology and is on the pre-med track. Lydia has continued playing lacrosse with the Women's Club Lacrosse Team at Pitt where she currently serves as one of their Co-Presidents. This is Lydia’s second season with PT and she is super excited to come back and be a part of this season! Lydia's main goals are to spread the love she has for the game and to create an environment full of learning and fun!

Kenady is very excited to be a part of this season! She started her lacrosse career as a sophomore at Moon Area School District on their very first team. She then went on to play at Thiel College where her team won the PAC championship in 2013. Kenady has a Silver Level Coaching Education Certification through USA Lacrosse. She is thrilled to be coaching Peters Township youth as a fourth-year coach. She hopes to instill a love for this sport while assisting athletes in developing their full potential.
